VWBB Membership Standards

Virtual World Business Bureau Membership Standards

These are minimum standards.

To be a member of the VWBB, an applicant must, at a minimum:

1. Established Business

Be in business in the SL area for not less than one month, or such longer period of time as necessary to evaluate an applicant's record.

2. Membership Dues

Sign the Membership Application and pay the appropriate dues and fees as set by the VWBB.

3. Background Info

Supply background information about the company.

4. Customer Service

Promptly respond to any and all complaints forwarded by the SLBB, and make a good faith effort to resolve all such complaints.

5. Complaint Prevention

Cooperate with the VWBB in efforts to eliminate the underlying cause of patterns of customer complaints which the VWBB may call to the company's attention.

6. Self-regulation

Cooperate with the VWBB activities and efforts to promote voluntary self-regulation within the business's industry.

7. VWBB Logo Integrity

Refrain from using the name or logo of the Virtual World Business Bureau for commercial, sales or advertising purposes in any manner not specifically authorized by the Virtual World Business Bureau.

8. Probity

Support the principles and purposes of the Virtual World Business Bureau and not engage in activity that reflects adversely on the Bureau or its members.
